How to Play

Play Fruit Matching online for free. Fruit Matching is a match 3 game where you remove fruit from the playing field by forming rows or columns of 3 or more identical fruits. Clear as much fruit as you can before the timer runs out. Gain bonuses and extra time for removing 4 or more fruits in a row. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. Starting the Game

Select the play button on the bottom center of the welcome screen to begin.
Toggle the game’s audio via the sound button on the upper right corner.
Use the expand button on the upper left to switch between windowed and full-screen modes.
Your browser automatically saves your high score.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your mouse, left click to select a tile & drag it toward the tile you want to swap it with.
  - Tiles can only be swapped with a tile where one of the moves creates a run of 3 or more of the same type of tile.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the screen with your fingers to select.
    - Game Play
      - Basic
        To clear fruit rows, match 3 or more fruits in a row.
        Rows can be horizontal or vertical.
        Select two fruits to have them swap places.
        If one of the fruits form a row of 3 or more then the move is valid and allowed, whereas if a run is not made then the move will not be allowed.
        Whenever you clear one valid row and another forms, you must wait until this or any other subsequent valid rows are cleared before you can make another move.
        The game will occasionally show you hints highlighting a fruit you can play. Pay attention to them.
        Keep clearing fruit rows until you run out of time.
        As the game progresses, you unlock more fruit types.
        These will add to the difficulty of the game as cascading pairs and longer runs will be harder to make.
        In higher levels, there is a real danger of running out of valid moves.
        If you still have time left and no value moves remain, the game will simply reroll the board.
        Extending your gameplay time
        You automatically gain extra time if you match 4 or more identical fruits. This bonus can range between 3 to 5 seconds.
        If several of those rows form in a single move, you can receive a huge time bonus.
        On occasion, you may also receive an egg timer that provides an extra 15 seconds.
        Bonuses
        Left click or tap on a bonus to activate it. You do not need to swap a bonus with any adjacent cell to activate it.
        There are 3 types of bonus:
        Egg timers
        They appear at random.
        These give you a large time boost (like 15 seconds) whenever they appear.
        Bombs
        You receive these when you clear 4 identical fruits in a row,
        Bombs clear out a lot of fruits regardless of whether they appear on rows.
        By default bombs blow up each adjacent cell including the diagonal cells.
        Bombs can set off a chain reaction if other bombs are near, meaning one bomb blows up the next and so on.
        If you have any Jollies near bombs it is important to use the Jollies first.
        Jollies
        You receive these after clearing 5 identical fruits in a row.
        A jolly appears as a fruit that constantly changes type.
        Selecting a jolly locks its type. Once that happens, it removes all the fruits of the type it turned into.
        You gain a time bonus for every fruit the jolly removes.
        Scoring & Bonuses
        Playing Field
        The playing field is 8 rows across and 7 columns high.
        As you make matches new pieces fall downward into position.
        You start the game with 60 seconds, but you can expand the remaining time well beyond 2 minutes by using your upgrades and making longer runs which give you a time bonus.
        Scoring Basics
        Each fruit you remove is worth 30 points.
        Bombs are worth 100 points.
        Each extra item you destroy in a sequence is worth 50 percent more.
        Levels and Fruits
        As your score increases your level increases, which also increases the number of fruits shown on the screen.
        The game starts off with 3 fruits.
        At 12,000 points the game shifts to 4 fruits.
        At 22,000 points the game shifts to 5 fruits.
        At 31,000 points the game shifts to 6 fruits.
        At 39,000 points the game shifts to 7 fruits.
        Play Tips & Strategies
        Play to your level.
        Early in the game try to get as many runs of 4 or 5 as you can to expand your play time while making longer matches is easy.
        Later in the game, when making longer matches is harder, be content with making shorter matches.
        Take advantage of the game’s hints in the late game.
        Maintain fruit turnover. Keep new fruits coming to make sure there are always new pairs to make.
        In the early game, this can lead to several rows forming and disappearing at once in a single move.
        Many of these will have 4 or more identical fruits, which will buy you plenty of time and a lot of bonuses.
        Use the bonuses that you receive often to take advantage of the early game bounty.
        Maximize Your Bonuses
        If you have an easy match 4 or match 5 near or above a bonus then make that batch before using the bonus.
        If you have Jollies and Bombs near each other then use the Jollies first.
        You should use your Jollies as early as you can. Each fruit removed by one of the Jollies gives you additional time on the clock, and the fewer fruit types there are in the game the greater the number of fruits you will remove by using Jollies.
        Click on the jolly shortly before it transforms to the most common fruit in the playing field.
        This way, you can maximize the amount of bonus time and empty space that results.
