"Play Pix Arcade online for free. Pix Arcade is a retro-themed idle descent game. Move as far down as you can while avoiding sinister slugs and spikes. Collect coins which can be used to purchase 10 different character skins. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom left corner to begin.
Buy a new skin for your player character by selecting the shop button on the bottom right corner.

Your web browser automatically saves your high score.

    - With your mouse:
      - Left click on the left and right arrow buttons to move.
      - Left click on the down button to descend.
      - Left click on the sword button to attack.
      - With your keyboard:
        Press A or the left arrow key to move left.
        Press D or the right arrow key to move right.
        Press S or the down arrow key to descend.
        Press J to use your sword or to activate the shield which gets charged from successfully using your sword 3 times in a row.
        Press P to pause.
        Touchscreen devices
        With your fingers:
        Tap on the left and right arrow buttons to move.
        Tap on the down arrow button to descend.
        Tap on the sword button to attack.
        It is generally easier to play this game on a touchscreen device.
        Game Play
        Basic rules
        Go as far down as you can.
        Pick up coins.
        Avoid spikes and slay enemies.
        Hazards
        You face spikes and enemy slugs on your way down.
        Fall into or touch them and you die.
        To deal with slugs, use the sword.
        You must face your enemies to use the sword. This means you have to stand at least one square in from the edge to face them, so must hit them on either the middle square or one of the other two on the far side of the platform.
        Strike your foes at the right time to deal with them. The sword responds slowly, so you won’t have time to make a second strike.
        Note that slugs can move past spikes. Your sword is your only protection.
        When you defeat 3 slugs in a row it powers up a shield which gets activated the next time you try to use a sword.
        To deal with spikes, try to spot them before you go down and move away from them.
        In most cases it makes sense to race past slugs rather than fight them, but if there are a lot of spikes below it is better to defeat the slugs if you can so you give yourself optionality on what column you fall down onto, so you have options if there are more spikes on the next platform below the one you jump onto.
        Coins
        Pick up any of the coins you encounter on the way down.
        Use these to buy new skins for your character. There are 10 different skins for sale, costing 200 coins each.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like simple idle games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
