How to Play

Play Taffy Adventures of a Lunchtime online for free. Adventures of a Lunchtime is a 40-stage logic puzzle game where you help Scraggs collect all the sandwiches on the level while avoiding Bentley. Bring your sandwich collection to Mrs. Muchmore to beat each level. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the orange play button in the lower left corner of the game’s welcome screen.
This will bring up the level select screen.
- Initially only the first level is unlocked.
- Each of the 40 levels must be beat consecutively to unlock the subsequent levels.
- You can replay previously beat levels at any time to try to earn a higher star rating on them.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level ratings.
- Game Controls
  - Desktop
    - Use your arrow keys to move around the puzzle.
    - Use your mouse left click button on the remote icon to activate the remote.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - This game was designed primarily for desktop play.
      - Controls & indicators
        
        The level select screen shows your level rating for each level. You can select the left and right arrows on the sides of the level select screen to scroll through the 4 level selection screens.
        
        Heart containers in the upper left show your health.
        
        A bar across the top shows your star rating.
        
        The number of remotes you have in inventory is shown right of your current star rating.
        
        In the upper right corner there is a settings button which brings up a menu containing the following options: sound control, read how to play info, restart the current level, resume play, or go to the game’s welcome screen.
        
        Game Play
        
        Health & dying
        
        Your heart containers are shown to the top left of the screen.
        
        Each time you get hit you lose the health from a heart container.
        
        Each time you eat a sandwich you fill an empty heart container. Double sandwiches fill 2 heart containers.
        
        If your containers are empty and you get hit again you die.
        
        Many obstacles can only hit you once, however some do greater damage.
        
        Electrically charged panels which have two crossing lines in each direction do two units of damage.
        
        Bentley the Doberman knocks you off your red ribbon, which makes Mrs. Muchmore realize you are a racoon & kills you no matter how much health you have.
        
        This game offers unlimited continues & if you die you start off at the beginning of the level you were just on.
        
        If you beat a level with low health you start the next level with full health.
        
        Movement
        
        You can move up, down, left, or right on squares on the playing field (though may not move diagonally).
        
        You may not cross the path of your own red ribbon.
        
        If you press back in the direction you came from it restores your heath and undoes your most recent move.
        
        Some areas of the level have a hole in them which closes after you step on a switch.
        
        Remotes
        
        Run over remotes to collect them.
        
        You can save remotes from one level to the next & can carry multiple remotes at the same time.
        
        Click on a remote to use it.
        
        Remotes can remove Bentley from the playing field, help you collect sandwiches, and deactivate nearby electronics.
        
        Remotes are effective for one square in each direction.
        
        Levels
        
        This game has 40 levels which must be completed in sequential order.
        
        You can beat a level without collecting all the sandwiches in it, however you must collect all sandwiches inside a level to earn a 3-star rating.
        
        To beat some levels with a 3-star rating you will require a remote, as some cells with a sandwich are only accessible in a single direction, meaning you can not visit them and leave without backtracking, so you have to use a remote to clear that sandwich.

        The game is suited for players who like logic puzzle games.
        
        The game has no adult themed content.
